    I do hope that everyone had a lovely holiday. Mine was quiet and somewhat lonely here at the school. Though, I am glad I got to spend some time with some of my Hogwarts friends.

    Being stuck at Hogwarts over Christmas isn't exactly my idea of an ideal holiday. At least I get to use the Floo Network to say hello to the family on Christmas Morning.

    That being said, I am hoping to change my opinion around and come to love the feel of the castle during this time of year. If anyone is in need of my assistance, or company, please do feel free to let me know. I am here at your disposal.

    What's the point in us even being here? To prove without a shadow of a doubt how useless we are? A part of me wants to decline this assignment, so that they can send a more experienced Auror, perhaps someone who can make things happen. Keep these children safe. Anything. It seems I'm not doing much at all.

    Private to Students
    I know that my our presence at the school isn't welcomed by most of the student body. I am sorry for it. I have the best of intentions to make our stay here as short as possible, to make the school as safe as it was before these horrible things started happening--if not safer--and to interfere as little as possible while I'm at it.

    That being said, there are some things I cannot do. I cannot disobey orders from my supervisors (even though I am welcome to question orders and open a dialogue before following through on said orders) and I cannot turn my back on those in need. I have taken vows to protect my fellows, especially the young, the old, and the sick.

    If you wish to have nothing to do with me, I will, of course, respect your wishes. But shall we try to get along during the time we are forced to spend together?

    Introduction
    Hello, folks! My name is Dorcas Mullet, and I'm an Auror. I graduated from Ravenclaw house six years ago, went straight into Auror Training, and have been working for the Ministry ever since. I've been stationed here at Hogwarts to help maintain peace and order, and to protect the school, grounds, and all people within these walls.
